This gorgeous hotel is located in New Cairo, just outside the busyness of Cairo, yet close enough for easy day trips. It’s elegant pool is a welcome refuge after spending a day at the market, the Cairo Museum, or the Great Pyramids (which you can see in the distance from the roof), and the rooms are beautiful. I could not love the people, the service, the amenities, or the location more! When my tour returned to Cairo, I had tested positive for covid and isolated here. This allowed me to become well acquainted with the people who run the hotel, the restaurants, and the in-room dining. I could not have been in better hands, and even though my tour group flew home and I stayed there on my own, I never felt alone and was always treated like family. The food was lazeez (delicious). They have an elaborate breakfast and dinner buffet at the main restaurant or one can order off the menu (which is done for lunch). The staff is jovial, heart-centered, and service oriented. They can make you a traditional Egyptian breakfast if you request it, which is not only lazeez, but will set you up for a day of exploration. I became acquainted with a most charming waiter named Ally, who was a delight to see everyday. The breakfast chef at the omelette station makes an incredible foul (ful) and falafel (as well as omelettes). There was a woman who worked at the front of the restaurant who always greeted me with such warmth. There is a second restaurant on the premises with an intriguing menu at which I ate once, and the combination of flavors in the appetizer was perfect as was the meal. I enjoyed in-room dining with heart, flavor, and nutrition, eating every meal from there while in isolation. Mina, the manager of in-room dining, Salwa, who helps Mina run it, and Ahmed, who brought me food several times all took such good care of me. I never felt alone during that time. They were incredibly responsive and compassionate. Whenever I spoke with Mina, it felt like I was speaking to a caring friend or family member. Salwa was, also, incredible. She treated me like her family, bringing me hot water with lemon, helping me move rooms, always asking about me, and telling me I would be better soon. Ahmed brought me food and lemon water several times and was sweet and caring. They have a very special team. While I was recovering, the doctor on staff at the hotel, Omar, came to see me each day in the beginning to ensure I was getting better (not worse) and his protocol was top notch. He was intelligent, well-versed in covid protocol, and he worked with me and with my home physician’s protocol. These visits and the care and effort of the in-room dining team made such a difference in how I recovered so far away from home. While I was isolating, the lovely and very capable Manager of Guest Services, Merna, and another jewel in Guest Services, Nina, moved me to a room with a patio, so I could get some fresh air without exposing others and called often to check on me often. Merna accommodated me, again, when some noisy neighbors took the room next door. I asked for a quieter room while I recovered, and they moved me to a gorgeous room with a large deck overlooking the stage. If something happened that I didn’t understand Merna and Nina would handle it. One time, I was told I couldn’t charge a meal to my room. It was late, I was tired. I called and Nina swiftly resolved the matter. Nina is intelligent, capable, and has a beautiful way of interacting with the guests, which leaves a very positive impression of the hotel. Once the isolation was over, I got to know both Nina and Merna a little better. I look forward to seeing them again one day. The housekeeping staff was meticulous in their work and quite friendly as well. I cannot say enough about this hotel. Do not hesitate to stay there if you are going to Egypt. It is as special and beautiful as the land you are going to see.

Wonderful spot, outside the hustle and bustle of Cairo. The staff is very friendly and welcoming! Mimi and Mahmoud at the bar are AMAZING and made the trip so much fun! The spa services were great. We could see the pyramids from our room. Food was good. Would stay again in a heartbeat!
